Bhutan builds mindfulness city on sacred ground

Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) will open a new chapter on November 1, 2026, with an ambitious act rooted in the country’s Buddhist tradition: the simultaneous raising of 108 Jangchub Chortens, each 15 metres tall, along a 12-kilometre stretch of the Mau Chhu River.
