The Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) approval of USD 17.42 million to help protect vulnerable Bhutanese families from the Middle East conflict’s economic fallout is a welcome intervention. As rising fuel and commodity prices put immense pressure on our economy, slowing growth to a projected 6.5 percent in 2026, the hardest hit remain our poorest households.
