Five years after deadlock, National Assembly to deliberate on Mines and Minerals Bill

The long-awaited Mines and Minerals Bill, intended to overhaul the country’s mining law, will be tabled during the winter session of National Assembly, which runs from November 12 to December 28, 2026, five years after a deadlock between the two houses of Parliament shelved an earlier version.
