Beyond hydropower: Bhutan’s hopes lie in the ground

Recent reports of an airborne geophysical survey identifying significant anomalies of tungsten, copper, and other precious metals could mark a pivotal moment for Bhutan. Although the country has already discovered several mineral resources since mining began including limestone, gypsum, dolomite, coal, quartzite, graphite, and talc, a substantial find of tungsten would be a game-changer.
